A diffuse exercise of power! (your vote or nomination counts)

HEAR YE! HEAR YE!

- Assemble citizens of the world
I must ask you whether
you wish to hold an *ostracism.

We need to neutralize the threat
of our democracy!

You voting tokens will become
the jury and the judge!

Do you want to find someone guilty?
If the answer is: - YES!
Whom do you wish to accuse?

But first listen to my speech
and my nominations!

I nominate: My self! Religions! Armies and Politicians!

You will decide who needs
to be send to permanent exile

- Me or them

I will melt the golden words in each temple

I will erase the symbols of power

Sell their jewels and feed the children,
that sleep hungry every night. ...

Children that go to bed with fear for their lives.

I will extirpate social evils
Seek the true beauty in every living being!

The structure of our society will be the following

Poets and authors will observe and write
about what has to be done
in order to maintain balance in our society.

Singers and composers will express
our hearts melody in any given time.

Dancers and actors will give life to those emotions.

They will all be called:
Observers and advisors of our realities.

And we. ...
We will be responsible for
our own hapiness and our neighbours happiness!

But I must warn you...
If you don't vote for me
you will have no one to accuse
for what is happening in your life and around you.

You will not be able to watch
a theater play only for your amusement!

Each theatrical act, will give you
an advice of what needs to be done!

Before you vote;
Answer this question to yourself

- Do you want to make your life easier
or the world a better place to live in?

If you answer that you want
to make your life easier then...

Please send me away to a desert island,
where the only person responsible
for my hapiness or misfortune
will be me and only me!

A fair punishment! Don't you think?

Send me away; so you can continue living your life
in ignorance and mistrust for those
you have chosen or allowed to become your leaders!

I am the spiritual leader of my self
in a world with no boundaries.

My actions shape the world that I want to live in;
Untill The day I die.

Then my story will be told as a history lesson
for generations to come.

What will your story tell about the world that we live in?

Think citizens of the world! Think! and place your vote
into the urn of eternity!

Those who desire to join me in a world with no boundaries,
can nominate themselves and stand by my side!

Aren't you fed up?
To blame constantly on others for your misery?!?

~ act in full consciousness of the consequences of your actions~

*Ostracism (Greek:ostrakismos) was a procedure under the Athenian democracy in which a prominent citizen could be expelled from the city-state of Athens for ten years. *

I love the idea behind this... and the ending is powerful, packs a punch. I only have a small problem with the length - but i still vote for ya. So where's the voting booth?

Hi,
Your poem was okay, but from my point of view, it is a poem for all region of understanding, it simplicity was okay to many, it elongation was okay for few, but i could have prefer regid words and shorter lines. Just take people like me into consideration when writing, sometimes we stand as personal saint because pecaddilio dosen't murder us. GBU and keep it up.

Now this is a power that we forget and even take for granted. And in America, thank you for reminding me what needs to be done next Tuesday!!!

So where do I go to
To cast my vote for you?

I like your creativity here. There is also a handful to ponder. We are facing critical elections here in the states next Tuesday. Your poem fits right in.

I vote for pure love and true fighting spirits, not the ones who sites in every country and rules now, because what if the land could deside together without damaging religions or damaging rules!!!
I could write a novel of what I think or do not think... But this is a very good text that makes us think I think!!!
Hope everything is well with you
Take care

For Night soul woman - extremely well expressed write, a very good read and i concur with many of the thoughts.

For Dan - Hmmm! how powerful is the vote of a single person? I wonder, until all individuals can look beyond the manipulation of fear the single vote will always have an isolated mute voice.

Hey NSW!

This is a great poem about

having or loosing control, if you don't vote

for me who should you blame?

And if you vote for me you sending me

away!

And WOOOOOW what I love the end!!!

"Aren't you fed up?
To blame constantly on others for your misery?!?

~ act in full consciousness of the consequences of your actions~"

I shurely vote that no one should go

in Exil!

We can still have religions and leaders but

we have to understand how important our

vote is in the election! If we don't vote we

must stop blaming the society for

everything that happens to us, we have

to take our part of responsibility and not

blame it on others! We are a part of

the society!

Regards and hugs Dan
