This is a pre-Ashes dream about Andrew 'Freddie' Flintoff, and it is dedicated to A.N with whom I've corresponded recently.
An Aussie wicket the goal,
He lets loose a yorker,
What a cracking corker,
Middle stump crashes,
Freddie's retained the Ashes!
Freddie's takes the crease,
The run-rate to increase,
He wields his mighty bat,
And cries out, 'Take that';
Six sixes he gamely smashes,
Freddie's retained the Ashes!
