I recently broke up with my other half, and this poem is what I had to say to her. I cried whilst writing this, so it may not be as effective but it's more directed for her, than an audience.

If you found.

If you found the faces of god,
If you found the losses of love
Would you talk to me again?

If you found the ribs of mystery,
If you found all angles of wrong
Would you help heal my pain?

If you found the forgiveness,
If you found the cages of regret
Would you support and not fray?

If you found the escape route,
If you found the words to repeat
Would you believe me when I say?

If you found out that I was to die,
If you found the blood on my walls
Would you wipe away your tears?

If you found the truth in the bullet,
If you found it deep in my head
Would you write down your fears?

If you found the stream of serenity,
If you found the motive of this poem
Would you wash me away in it?

If you found directions of meaning,
If you found the paths of moral
Would you walk me down it?

If you found the planes of history,
If you found my empty diary
Would you refine, define and forgive?

If you knew right from wrong,
If you knew what sparks off my pain,
Then you'd know it's never again.
