It's been said that the body looses 21 grams just in the moment of death. (yes, I'm aware of the film by this name too, but it has no further reference to the poem)

This is a poem about fragility of life. Its beginning, its end, and its continuation.

21 grams later

Still fumbeling with the dream of being
you're hanging from your feet
-for a moment lingering
between here and there

Untill you screaming, and covered in blood
enter the stage.
In this very moment,
lies the potential
to see and to be.

All of a sudden it's a lifetime later
And you're once more
laying on the edge
of the great unknown
You have seen, and you have become

Still grasping the dream of being
tightly with your left hand -
You linger for a moment in the inbetween
before you sigh;
a silent
call for the curtain to fall

"Don't be afraid..
You can rest now.."
I whisper
my tears stains the linnins
as I pray to be near you.
And maybe.. just maybe
can you feel my little hand in yours
all until the bell has rung
and it once and for all
is 21 grams later
