A poem from my book 'The Unsung Songs'.
Simply a statement on humanity!

From Tears Ahead

We've had our chance,
We've no time to dance,
Across the lunar skies,
He wipes the tears from his eyes,
In shame that someone might see,
The faith he put in you and me,
We've had our chance,
We've had our chance they say,
To turn the clock,
To make it stop,
The penny drops,
He's gone away and all will say,
It was years ago our chance to stay,
Our chance to live
