I've just been thinking about who I am, what I am, and why I am.

Personal Ponderings

Eternal soul you say,
When did we begin, was it on a certain day?
Or, was it in the beginning,
When the world was spoken into form and being?
Believing, existing, seeing.
Were we there in the Creator's space,
In his mind, in his powerful embrace?
Are we just made inside a womb
And do we die only to lie inside the tomb?
What is a soul; where is the spirit?
Are we not mortal only lasting a minute?
In the view of infinite time and age,
Are we just a word on a written page?
Are we the granuals on a beach of thought?
Or, are we the the purpose for all that's not
within our viewing?
Are we the volcano's fiery spewing?
Do we burn inside the flesh?
Are we here to form and mesh
To make humanity reality and then
When did my personality begin?
Are we circles, bubbles of life
Floating above a double edged knife?
Will we burst when time stands still
When all air is gone and God's had his fill?
I guess I'll know when the time is right
But for now, I'll just remain a sprite.

Eternal questions asked by a wise mind in a poetic form that evokes the participation of the reader, who cannot help but join in the asking, and the seeking, which is a good thing. God is in it.

Kathy, this is wonderful! And, I love the questions that you ask of life and your existence. Please, when you find the answers, send them to me. :D

Thoughtful, thoughtful text, Kathy.

"What is a soul; where is the spirit?"

How I wish I knew. So I could hide mine from the world, so I'd be able to spare my soul some pain, some hurt. But then, the world wouldnt be such a beautiful one either... would it?

Dear Kathy,
Maybe we'll never know the answers of those questions in this life but the most important thing is wondering who we are ,If you wonder who you are , it shows you are different than ordinary people :) and i think this poem is very wonderful poem about the questions that we cant give answers to. Wherever your spirit is ,i know it will go on to warm me up with its great thoughts.

Thank you dearest poetess for sharing this excellent poem with us,

love,
Seda

If we knew what we are,
Won't we just do as we want,
Mould our lives the way we want,
Live exactly as are wont!
But, we are the mortal grains
That get washed when it rains,
On the Earth of infinite,
Who knows what is our plight?

(((HUGS DEAR kATHY FOR ANOTHER MASTER PIECE))))
