House of Time

Can your mother hear the whispers
That we make in the darkness?
Can your father feel the love
We share in night's twinkling light?

Can you see the tomorrow's
We can have in our future?
Can we understand our emotions
As we wander through this life?

Can we understand our feelings,
As we hold each other this night?
Will this evening be the beginning
Of a life lived in fright?

Can we truly accept each other,
For the persons we should have been?
Or will we forget this simple dream,
That we dared to share this night?

When I wake up in the morning,
Will your heart be alive in mine?
Or will I find a quiet tomorrow,
Lost within the House of Time?

Very nice poem here
Perfect rhyme

I specially liked the title so much ^^
And when you say

Can your mother hear the whispers
That we make in the darkness?
Can your father feel the love
We share in night's twinkling light?

Can we understand our feelings,
As we hold each other this night?
Will this evening be the beginning
Of a life lived in fright?

A nice rhyming flow, but lost it in the middle somewhere, may be too many nights and the odd unnecessary word edit would do the trick. A poem of love with lots of questions we can't answer, all we can do is go with each and every moment into the next with the best thoughts and intentions. Like the title too. I wrote one about a House once, but it fell down around my ears so it will remain in the pad, until a better house builder comes along!

Smiling at you,

Tai
