Don't fear the Reaper!

Grim Reaper walks into a bar
comes over, says,"relax.
Two things are sure in this sad world,
that's death and income tax.
The government's had their bit,
and for all it's plain to see.
That all the stress it's caused you son,
it's time to come with me."

"Get stuffed ' cause I aint coming,
I've won bigger fights than this.
If you think that I'll, just give up now
Then your taking the piss!
I'm up to get another pint
even though it's not my round.
And I'll buy you one, if you'll stay a while,
before you slot me in the ground."

We sat and drank and talked a bit,
his wisdom soon was clear.
And I couldn't get my head around
how he caused so much fear.
A gentle soul he seemed at heart.
Not a being of punishment.
He drained the last drops from his glass,
and off with him I went.

Christian Lanciai The PoetBay support member heart!
Very interesting innuendo in this hint at some much more serious business than the surface tells, with an intriguing form at that, almost like a folksong. Bookmarked.
