Male Pride.

Would you rather
Pick an apple,
From a tree, or from the ground?

Would you rather
Treasure that you've bought,
Or treasure that you've found?

Would you be
A lesser man, for trying
To help a friend in need?

Would you turn your back
And walk away.
Crawl back into your greed?

Would you mask
The reality of,
The man you were before?

Would you pretend
to come from the tree,
And never from the floor?

A treasure bought
Brings memories
Of what you'd had to pay.

A treasure found,
Evokes the thoughts
And memories of that day.

The lesser man has nothing,
But feels he
Has more to loose.

A friend in need
Has not as much but,
Retains the right to choose!

Pretenders sit
In judgement on those
That they used to be.

And use a fucking chain saw
To bring down
An apple tree!

And if iI had
My time again,
I'd pray for all I can.

To be an apple
From the floor,
And be a better man.
