Leave Your Baggage At The Door

Leave your baggage at the door,
I don't want here no more.

I'm tried of all your excuses,
They've become utterly useless.

You say you've been hurt before,
And wish you could give me more.

I've been hurt so many times,
But I have learned to leave it behind.

You can't change the past no matter what you do,
So, remember your mistakes, now you know what not to do.

Now, you must learn how to forgive,
And pick yourself up to start over again.

To be with me and if you want more,
Leave your baggage at the door.

Great message here
especially the 5th stanza
"You can't change the past no matter what you do,
So, remember your mistakes, now you know what not to do."

Well done with this emotional write.

This poem states clear guidelines for a continued relationship. Easier said than done?
