a collaboration with Nepenthes keeps my dendrites growing

into the wild blue yonder

hurricanes, murder reigns, justice is for sale
morphine, doper's dream, minors lost in hell
saccharine, honey treat; did they think we fell
such crap, marching streets, sugar in our well

dominance, prominence, desperate tsars proclaim
despots in teapots brewing thoughts insane
corporate greed, mouths to feed, hunger is thy name
news makers, undertakers, caskets on parade

mystifying, horrifying, such a bloody waste
is it really glorifying for the human race
think not, want not, nothing of that taste
too bitter for my litter, such a damned disgrace

sadness stains, embrace the pain, learn a lesson true
history's no mystery, the future belongs to you

kath
and in these words I read the sadness that humanity carries in just being ... how we still after all these years of existing have learnt so little when it comes to interacting ... and still there is the reflection of hope as the final line emerges

"history's no mystery, the future belongs to you "

I enjoyed this read very much and it is a tight co-write that makes the words bear a circular meaning .. that is to say I read and reflect in a way that comes back to every word in the end...(I hope you got my meaning, even though a little cryptic :))

well done

100.000 dendrites can never be wrong: This is great!!! Couldn't we organize a protest march, just to go out and yell this one on the streets? Please?

What a combo! You two do the two step
perfectly! The cadence is intoxicating. The lyrics intriguing.
