My uncle and cousin researched and then published a book on my family's genealogy. This fall I will journey to Scotland to visit the home of my ancestors.

Lockhart Roots

Scotland
You call me with voices of my clan
I'm coming to see you
To explore my native land
I am a Lockhart
With tartan colors grand

Carrying the heart of Bruce

In locked chest by hand
And holding lock and key,
Sir James you influence me
Now with dignity I stand

Honoring God and man
As a woman of this clan
Oh Scotland,
My beautiful ancestral land

for now...

I
 hear the voices of sages
Singing of regal ages
Bless me on dear Scotland
I am your
Child

Oh dear sis, I share your pride and love of our heritage. I saw it in our father and uncles and aunts and I see it in you and our siblings. I want to know more about the strength of the Scot and the faith and determination to do right and live free. This is a great poem! I want to go there too and find our history.
