Silent Street

A loud street,
A crowded street,
There is no one I know,

There used to be the two,
Who were equally grateful,
But now I am alone,

Have to make my own way,
Though I don't know how,

Suddenly everyone vanishes into thin air,
I come across a path,
Ignoring it I cut my own,
With hope of seeing a better tommorow,

My feet bleed as I walk,
Through this thorny path,
Out of the blue,
I see a shining light,
Falling on my face,

I cut the branches aside,
I see a street,
A beautiful street,
With my two guardian angels,
Streching out for my hand,

This silent street,
Which has truly shaped my destiny.

John Ashleigh
It's as if you have rounded up a dean koontz novel into a poem. To do that - is just pure brilliance. Thankyou for sharing.

Regards,
John.
