Overkill

Beginning to understand.
Man's importance, diving in to
time's evolutionary pattern.
Black hearted down to the soul.
Tainted with the blood of to many
sacrifices.
Man's sole intention lost in
the hourglass sand.
Leaving us stranded on the
shores of time.
How could it be?
