The Story Of Lock And Key
In the Time of Then, he came into this world
with a key inside his heart, a key which would
open one lock inside the heart of another.
There it lay. As the boy grew, it sat silently
waiting for its mate, the one special lock
that was shaped perfectly for its entry.
And time passed on into the Time of Days,
when she came into this world with a lock inside
her heart, a lock that could only be opened
by one special key. While she grew, the lock
lay dormant waiting for its time of freedom,
its time of completion.
A beating of hearts
A ticking of time
A longing to love
The boy became a man searching for love.
The girl became a woman lost in a wilderness
of yearning. While wandering, the key was used
but failed for those locks were not its mate.
And the lock was invaded but never opened until
the Time of Now, when the man met the woman
along the path of Perfection.
A meeting of hearts
A union of gifts
A turning of key
As the hearts joined as one, the key opened the lock
and love poured between them sending joy into
their world, into the Time of Forever. Now, inside these
two souls lies the heart of the other beating freely,
unlocked, and filled with happiness.
