FREEDOM!

Eagle

I lied to get out of the date,
Fortunately, it was not my fate,
Severed of all the rings and the silver chain,
So my skin looks free and plain,
I step outside and the wind scampers across my face,
Finally, I've dropped from the rat race,
Filled with commotion, confusion,
Heartache and delusion,
I walk along, with my dog,
And all of the fog,
Is cleared from my mind,
The sunlight is kind,
Just enough warmth to comfort my soul,
And fill the hole,
I spread my arms,
And release all alarms,
All worried and all cares,
My mind floats away from bills and bus fairs,
And lifts up,
Me and my pup,
Raise high into the clouds, suddenly elated,
I'm high above all the jerks I've dated,
Far from problems, far from anything,
I take flight and spread my wings,
Off to a place where time does not bind me,
And I can see,
The world in all it's glory!
Where I can finally brake my mold!

And for that moment,
I am an Eagle!

Lovely Brielle, beautifully done!
