My wife Jeanne is a member of The Sun City Writers Club, which was having it's annual picnic. The club members were given the assignment of writing
a limerick about it's picnic. I'm not a member but couldn't resist the challenge
Writers Club Picnic
The lady in charge is ColleenLaura masterminds the cuisine
Colleen's leg took a crack-up
She needed some back-up
So was assisted by Sandy and Jeanne
Some critiquers are prone to nitpicking
But rarely nitpick while picnicking
So on this field day
We picnic and play
And forgo our nitpick critiquing
The members most wittily write
They all write in utter delight
You need have no fear
They'll reappear here next year
