The World Was Simpler Then

Long ago, Chevys and Fords

Were sided with running boards

A car wasn’t reckoned complete

Without it’s open-air rumble seat

Guys wearing neckties and shirts

Gals wearing below the knees skirts

Vicariously enjoying the bliss’s

Of Hollywood’s celluloid kisses

Didn’t know about twits or tweets

Or desktop keyboarding deletes

We actually wrote with a pen

The world was simpler then

The world sure was simpler then. A more comfortable place to live, but now with the introduction of complexities, we are experiencing ease in our daily routines, aren't we?

Some guy in a far off land got an idea to use satellites to accurately locate some place and today our lives our simpler with GPSes installed in our phones and cars..

Very thought provoking read. Thank You.
