For the victims of incest a most abhorrent act upon children that leaves deep scars of destruction

The Little Girl Cried

and the little girl cried
and her daddy lied
about the love he had for her
in the dark of night
he'd take with his might
what he wanted
and was bad to her

 now she is grown
a woman on her own
with children who cry for their mother
she drinks in the night
trying to cover the fright
and wondering where was her mother

all those times she screamed
in her live nightmare dreams
no mommy would come to save her
just she alone
a babe not yet grown
hating the life that betrayed her

in anger she rears
and covers her fears
with toxins and laughter she savors
with time she can rest
and fully confess
the heartbreak of her labors

each day is the same
herself she still blames
for its easier to point her finger
at herself in her grief
and hold to the belief
that nightmares must surely linger

she rarely sleeps
in secret she keeps
the lessons that have truly brought her
to hide behind masks
it's a full time task
to cover scars left by her father

~~~~~~~~~~~~
oh sweet child with no name
you are not to blame
for the vileness inflicted by others
for you are pure as white snow
and didn't you know
that salvaton comes to young mothers
reach out to the One
from whom salvation comes
and He will give you Favor
for you are one of His best
let Him give you sweet rest
In the arms of your Heavenly Father
Kathy
as someone who was sexually abused as a youngster this rang so truth for me.
Your writing reflects the guilt that you feel, is it my fault, am i being punished? who will believe me?
In your answer is the answer, no it is not my fault, i am not guilty and the world has finally woken up to the fact that this happened to us the victims as it does now. no more hiding it away,bring it out in the open and expose it for what it is and help the healing of those of us who suffered and those who are suffering as we speak.
Bless Kathy thankyou for sharing your words and love with us.
