Conquests

The Normans fought wars in France
In Sicily and Africa too
They fought with the sword and the lance
Not caring how many they slew

England was one of their conquests
Then William took over the throne
It was peace they seemed to detest
Wanting everyone's land for their own

Called Normans, Vikings or Norse
Ferociously, were so depraved
And rarely showed remorse
For killings they seemed so to crave

Conquered lands so ill begotten
Mad violence was their forte
History has not forgotten
Those war fighting men of Norway
