Bloodlust

In the dark of the night
The eyes shone like full moons
Captivating.
The eyes followed its prey
Watched as it breathed rhythmically
The beat of its heart dancing in his ears.
Ah!
The thrill
The high of superiority
The intoxicating air of surprise.
He glided through the shadows
Silently mocking his prey.
He delicately touched her hair
As it blew in the wind
He grinned.
He spun in front of her
And drank in the terror in her eyes
Then,
He sank his teeth into the nape of her neck
Drinking his fill
Until the last drop of
Love, was gone.
