inspired by many poems that I have read today here on Poetbay

Poetry of the Seed

a seed dies

as life lies

inside the shell

a sprout is born

as the casing is torn

away

in giving, there's gain

but not without pain

as well

for there is a cost

it is the loss

of self

to pay

the price of the deed

is in each seed's

sacrificial

wealth

so

in the richness of the soil

plant grain

give it sun and rain

then

rejoice

as the bounty

is reaped

I agree, except that also, you could even take the seed as a broader metaphor for the earth..
amazing per usual
