Love to Pain

What once were kisses
with the taste of sweet pleasure
and moist with passion
now taste bitter with lies
and dry as though sand
scraped across the lips
What once were tears
of joy, of happiness
now return the familiar blood
of sorrow, loss, and pain

Wonderful imagery here. I could skim across the text and play the slideshow of emotion in my head. I love it when a piece allows me to do that. Well done.
