She was the safe choice
Though she did not like him

She was better than me
So he switched one a whim


I was too scary
Too hard to accept

So he went with the safe choice
Me? He chose to reject...

and yet the movie poem applies here...making the safe choice has caused him to miss out on more wonder and joy than he can comprehend. good use of repetition here.
