As I walked in the soft night breezes, I heard the sounds of the coming of Autumn and was content.

After The Breezes of Summer

Sing to me frogs in the trees
While crickets play their violins
A beautiful lullaby as the world and I
Sleep beneath the harvest moon
Soft breezes blow down here below
Sending Summer's heat away
Let Autumn's chill come at will
Bringing color bursts upon the scene
I'll close my eyes and dream of skies
Bluer than sapphires pools in reflection
A deeper sleep will gently creep
Upon the land in close affection
Then Winter's white will come with night
To blanket all souls in slumber
Goodnight to all as comes the Fall
To bring a silence to remember

This is vintage Kathy. It belongs in a book with the great poets of history. As I read I felt I was floating along discovering all you have told hear. The beauty and atmosphere engulfing me with joy and satisfaction as I pass along each line written. I feel the cool breeze and am invigorated. I see the colors and feel joy. I hear the music of nature and am soothed. And finally I am fulfilled as I drift into a restful sleep. This is a masterpiece.

The words come through like a serene moment. The crisp cool air of autumn seems to be settling in, and that's what your poem made me think about... I particularly like Autumn, though I can't say I appreciate the endless blankets (ie. mountains) of snow that winter brings along lol :) Beautiful poety, thanks for the nice read.
