Nobody I know comes to this site and reads what I publish, so I figured I'd put it on here because I put it with the poetry I can actually read more than once.


Together

I put your picture back on the shelf
Almost three weeks to the day
You told me we were no longer
Together

I took it down off of the shelf
Less than two weeks from that day
Your picture had been keeping me
Together

I'll keep your picture on the shelf
Exactly for the rest of my life
Because inside my heart we'll always be
Together
