Better Than Chocolate



With the smile of a thousand stars
He spins around in his new jacket
"This is much better than easter eggs!"
The card attached reads....
"To my darling nephew David,
This won't melt in the mail!"
The smile transfers to me
Touched by the thoughtfulness
Of my only sister, miles away
Remembering us this weekend
That also holds her own birthday
"Why don't you give her a call?"
He grabs the phone, sits at the table
Writing this, I hear his laughter
Happy Birthday Jules,
I may have pulled your pigtails
And called you names
But I love you....
