When you're a little kid...the last thing you want is to live everyday watching your father throw away his life by excessive drinking.

Lifes story

A young girl watched her father drink his life away, and hers too
Few days went by when he could soberly say "I love you"
A life so sad, a heart of fury
Everyday a constant worry

He always said he'd never leave
Yet, a father daughter bond would never be
He always made promises, but never kept them
In disappointment, the young girl hung her head and whispered "I hate him"

Years have past since he left
Soon after, she realized it was for the best
He'd rarely call, he'd never write
Last words spoken were "Good-bye"

He finds his daughter is growing up
Drunk, he states he doesn't give a fuck
As each day passes, she recalls
All the times he let her fall

Dad,
If I saw you again, I know I'd cry
Despite how much infuriation I have towards you
I'd sadly say "I love you"
And slowly walk away
