I saw...

I woke up a beautiful day
and tried to throw
my black veil
way behind me.

I saw
beaches gathering forgotten dreams
kids playing with their little toys
all those I have never seen
all those I never dared to feel
lay bare before my eyes.

I saw
a neighbor smiling sweetly at me
two hands waving good morning
another sunny day
passing my way
leaving a dust of joy
leaving a carpet of flowers.

I saw
the world differently
the people standing beside me
but not anymore maliciously
I saw
I saw
I felt...
I saw...
