*a recent visit to the mountains to visit my 22 year old sweetest daughter and Liz's new learned word, inspired this silly poem :)


And The Band Played On

Masticated tobacco spit

missed the metal spitoon

And hissed in a pig's bbq pit.

With Whiskyfied banjo strums,

the ole jug band played on

their mountain bluegrass tune.

The fiddler's on fire playing

to the dancers, moonshine lit,

swerving on the light of the moon.
