Modesty

Indeed do so many, themselves exalt,
therefore is the fall, entirely their fault.
For truly can the Lord, abase anyone,
and make their whole world, come undone.
For He is God, that commandeth all things,
and can surely make beggars, out of kings.
So it's foolish to think, you don't need His hand,
for without the Lord, can no man stand.
Because with God only, is strength found,
and a very good reason, to why He's crowned.
It really is a killer, the thing called pride,
and indeed have many, because of it died.
So to boast and brag, is very childish indeed,
and it shall bring attention, that you don't need.
For there is always another, much more great,
so it's wise to be careful, with the words you state.
Because to think of oneself, with such conceit,
can be very hazardous, for it's but deceit.
For truly does He giveth, and taketh away,
and can make one unable, to keep the tears at bay.
So it is best to be humble, and not walk to proud,
or an example may be set, before the crowd.
And how the mighty have fallen, will all see,
so let not your lips, but another praise thee.

It would seem we didn't get enough of sermonizing in church today, eh?
