I watch the trees in my yard every fall and think about the life cycle God created for everything

Nature's Recycling Plan

Kaleidoscope tears ride the autumn breeze
as they fall, gently from the trees
A reluctant goodbye, but one of glory
to tell the world an arborescent's story
which ends in paintings upon the earth
that only God can tell their worth
A colour palette of yellow and gold
reds, tangerine and purples bold
Stripped of its beauty a tree must stand
alone, denuded, stark upon the land
There it faces life's harshest test
an attack by nature while it takes its rest
Unarmed, defenseless a tree must face
winter's onslaught with humility and grace
Its inner strength will take the hits
and bide its time til winter quits
Then deep inside life will stir again
and regeneration will begin
Pushing hard, living juices will flow
and when spring first dawns, the tree will grow
Death will be defeated once again
because ultimately life will always win.

John Lambremont, Sr.
I really liked the way this one flowed, a loping pace, very consistent with the season and theme.

This is just lovely, I especially enjoyed the line "tell the world an arborescent's story" I applaud your final line.
