-- Robert Louis Stevenson

In memory of those we love that have gone before us.

He is Not Dead by Robert Louis Stevenson

Robert Louis Balfour Stevenson (13 November 1850 – 3 December 1894) was a Scottish novelist, poet, essayist and travel writer.

He is not dead -- this friend -- not dead,

But in the path we mortals tread,

Got some few trifling steps ahead,

   And nearer to the end;

So that you, too, once past the bend,

Shall meet again, as face to face, this friend

   You fancy dead.
