Forefathers
Our forefathers are much acclaimedWhile our foremothers are rarely famed
Shamefully abusive
Historic fame is male exclusive
Martha Washington who bolstered wooden-toothed George
Supplied the coin he tossed across that famous gorge
And how would have John Adams fared
Without his Elizabeth for whom he so cared
James Madison was more than Jolly
When accompanied by jolly wife Dolley
History should ultimately render
Fairer judgment of the female gender
