Angela's 'Angel in the snow' got me thinking of snow.


Snowflake dream


Snowflake memories lay me down
where echoes of your love are found
naked in a mountain stream
my autumn leaf
my snowflake dream
and do you remember
the stories we told
of swans and trolls and knights so bold
i shook the blossom from a cherry tree
the world was empty
only you - and me
you were my heart
you were my queen
now a snowflake
in a snowflake dream.

Nice poem. Kind of sad but in a strange way it was pretty uplifting. Sort of like the writer held this person up on a pedestal only to realize that they were just the same as others they have seen and/or encountered before. The snowflakes, they are all unique, but then when you step back and look at them, they truly are the same. Ever wonder how many of them it takes to cover a mountain? A lot of little individual snowflakes that are needed to make a landscape white.
