Wasted Love

An ordinary day was all I asked for
As I walked down the aisle
Oblivious of the hassle

I lifted my eyes
And met yours staring in mine

The surge of emotions
Arose the turmoil inside

My heart beats faster
With every whisper of hope

Why can't I just bury this feeling?
Why did you come in my life just now?

Your voice fills the night
Your shadow consumes my mind

Hug me and never let me go
How it hurts to know
That you'll never be mine

In silent agony I mourn
For the love we'll never share
As I move on alone

In this unfair world
