Tribute to 2010

What a hectic year 2010 was
The turning point of her existence

The innocent, timid girl she was
Blossomed into a mature and bold woman
She lived a thousand lives and deaths
But remained true to herself

She met many failures along her way
She even doubted her self-esteem
To the point of losing her mental balance

Fate then decided to be kind to her
It conspired in her meeting the love of her mortal life
She discovered an altogether different world
A magical and surreal world

But fate snatched him back as abruptly as
He was thrown in her life

Yet, she surprised herself
By accepting the situation
She didn't fight against her destiny
For she finally understood her purpose in life

She realized she never belonged to this material plane
She devoted herself irreversibly to a higher purpose
To The Absolute Truth

Companions on the journey she kept meeting
All ephemeral encounters to which she bid goodbye

She knew that all this was just a mere play
As long as He was with her
She had nothing to fear

This year indeed became what it was predicted to be
It was the year when she would discover the secrets of life
And finally understood the beauty of it all.
