life is shoite sometimes

Away

I am not here today
I am away with the fairy
Who dances with wands
Bestowing stars.

What a pretty girl
She is...
Young and fresh and perky
In body and in mind
Kind to new impulses.

As I look into jaded eyes
Insistant on yesterday
I click my heels three times
And wonder how some newness
Can arrive to the ancients.

Arrive to the ancients.

I want to be away
But must stay
In this glue
Until the pages are flowing freely
Or the book is closed.

Your epigram says it all, but your poem elaborates. Vividly.

To be a binding, is, at times, binding.
The price of being enchanted perhaps?
