As the snow is everywhere

No point this year

Usually this decembertime
I take bluehued shots of snowshapes
blanketed trees, windharrowed icefields
shrubs in hibernation
make Christmas cards
send to friends in other places
not so fortunate
as regards

White Christmas dreams

this year
no point
to recall
the ubiquitous
nightmare

Many of them
have more snow
than we

such are dreams
a touch less
than reality

Though I appreciate the cleverness of the phrase, I am unclear as to what "ubiquitous nightmare" is referring. Is it specifically a white Christmas or Christmas itself? I hope it isn't the latter. Which ever it is, the excellence of the poem cannot be denied. It is witty and concise; very engaging. Also, I suggest when there are no wintry snow covered scenes to snap for your Christmas cards, why not send your poetbay photo. That smile is instantly warm and captivating. Unlike snow, maybe there are such smiles where your friends are, but I'll wager none are exactly like yours. My best to you..

The snow is always whiter on the other side of the fence!
From one white patch to another, tomorrow is the solstice!
Happy Holidays Teddy.
