dont try this at home :)

Hand

As she places her ring finger at
The base of her thumb and pulls
It across her palm homeward she notices
Her other digits are a claw choreographed
Ancient and she cannot unfurl her hand completely
Until the said finger is almost upright...same for every finger.

The thumb itself is a different thing...
It can merely sweep bases and cannot stroke
The palm nor touch on any high knuckle.
How funny on the one hand we cannot
Fingertip ourselves... yet we are always able to
Point out the flaws of others on the other hand
Or another that we may find laid bare.

I think I might cross my toes.

That makes us a bunch of thumbs, I guess, celebrating our own dexterity, but not getting along well with the others.

And like the countless others that will read this, I am trying this at home! Us humans are complicated beings, said with tongue in cheek. Liked the realism of the last few lines and no I can't (cross my toes:)
