A lyrical re-write. Everything happens for a reason - and we grow along side with it. - 28th February 2011.

Raven sky.

Medication all but blossoms
of angst in our seas,
Fallen leaves that frost,
and trampled by the heat.

I run to the hides
of a fearless parade,
Jump and fly to the rivers
that only I can forsake.

Scandals live in code,
and maybe so do I.
Am I being followed by
the ravens falling sky.

People barracaded voices,
In time through our depths,
We could act on choice,
before making our regrets.

Empty could be scared off,
or empty I shall be,
Fearless to revoke the love
that only a bullet can see.

Soft but firm,
through the minutes of blind,
A lesson I shall learn,
Medication of sweet kinds.

Boredom isn't a feeling,
It isn't a task.
But life keeling over,
is whiskey in a glass.

Scandals live in code,
and maybe so do I.
Am I being followed by
the ravens falling sky.

I love the messages that are in this. A very powerful and deep creation. It flows so well and has a sad and lonely feel to it. I very much like this.

John, you have captured a time in life. Beautiful-amazing and breathless to those who live within the fears and tribulations of what you are sharing. Thank you dear friend.

Well written , well expresst , John. We have to make seance of what happiness. Give , find a reason , sometimes we have to wait a while , time can lift the fog . Each day is a new dawn , a new beginning. Life it self is a school of on going learning.

Dark and delicious, I too found that most of the stanzas could stand alone. Fav. stanza is no.4, sort of reminded me not to take free speech for granted.

Perhaps "the code" is our DNA, and our destinies are written there. I rather think certain predispositions are there but we have the power to overcome them or channel them to the destinies we dream.

I think we have it in us to deviate streams, therefore to instigate rteasons for events ;-)
I'm with crypticboard about the penultimate stanza. It could be the starting point for something....
Thanks John. Keep up the writing.

What driving darkness in the lines
makes me think as well that
everything happens for a season
when its season comes then goes.
The second to that last stanza
is my favourite, could be a short poem
on its own too!
