Miscast

My darling wife recalls me as her young beau from the past
I hopefully try to act the part, but find that I'm miscast
No longer am I even close to being young and dashing
I couldn't now attract a crowd if in public I was flashing

I just can't recognize that old guy in the mirror
Who that Mr. Wrinkle is, I don't even have a glimmer
But, my darling wife, if you put your memories to bed
I'll join you there and you'll agree, I'm old but not yet dead

This made me smile, the way you write is still young and dashing to me Stan. :)

You do write funny twists in your lines, Stan... always leave with a huge smile on my face when I come read you. :) Simply love Toonist's cartoons to accompany your texts, they're great. Thanks :)
