Day After Christmas

It's the day after Christmas, and nothing is new,
Tradition has passed, but commercialism rings true.
Man and his money, yes man and machine,
Raped the world of it's goodness, and made it so mean!

What has happened to friendship, and feelings of joy?
Of brotherhood, sisterhood, and not to destroy!
But instead we take, and give little in return,
I guess it's God's way to make us all learn.

It could be the day after New Year's; it's all the same,
We do the same daily; it's this damn game!
If we'd stop playing and get down to the case,
We could be more human, and get out of the race!

Two things to learn, is to give all you can,
And never lie to a woman or to a man.
The truth sets you free, and to give feels so good,
So do as you can, not just as you could!
