LOOSE ENDS TRIPING OVER PACKAGES

No mater how you try ,
All ways find loose ends ,
Left hanging , swaying ,
Missed , over looked ,

Lines , pages , left ,
Uncompleted ,
So little time left ,

Gifts , packages ,
Still waiting to be ,
Sent off in the post ,

So many loose ends

I was hoping that one of the gifts was for me - but I'd already received it.

And then there are those loose ends that can be seen as a completed 'imperfection' (for lack of a better term); unfinished but deemed complete.

To have everything tied up and sorted would be boring, so I am happy to hang loose, I'm definitely fraying at the edges. It sounds like my poetry at times, unfinished.

Fortunately, I think, our lives are always an unfinished tapestry and much as we may work at it, the warp and weft of weaving it into some complete but not finished thing, there are always parts that seem to unravel, a fraying at the edges, "loose ends" that seemed right yesterday but not today, things that we don't yet know the shape of. It is finished only when it becomes our shroud.

A Buddhist would disagree, but it seems to me that, if we ran out of things to do, we wouldn't have reasons to keep living. (On the other hand, if we ran out of things to do, we wouldn't be able to enjoy one of life's greatest pleasures, shirking.)
