This was scribed shortly after losing my wife to cancer in 2007. Combining the Space Program with my grief of the loss.

"Loss" At Launch

Jodi was a brilliant lady,
she rocketed from Earth,
Forever, last March.
I was there when she launched
-to the Lord.
Those still at the pad,
left so sad.
The pain is great,
but she lives on,
Among the stars and all,
In the Universe and far beyond,
but never forgotten
by all still here, on Earth.

Welcome to PoetBay, Mr Jay.
This is so beautiful that I am unsure any comment from me can do it justice. The merging of subjects affords some wonderful imagery.
I have known bereavement, but never so close to home. I am truly sorry for your loss.
Applause.

The pain will dim , look to the night sky , choose a star , see the stars brightness wink back to you , and let that brightens brighten up your spirit.
