Unfortunately & I am sorry, yesterday, I(one of your editors, nsw:)wasn't able to repost our Pantoum challenge as promised but hey! We 've got 3 more contributions!Yay!

A day of absence, 12 contributions & a surprise! *Are you up to it?!*(slightly revised.)

. . . and now time for the surprise!!!

- That I really wish that you 'll find as a good idea, decide to be a part of it, contribute & perhaps find a way to improve it(just let us know on the comment section below or through a pm and then we can all decide if it will be a good idea)so with no further delay, here comes the surprise:

Have you ever heard about the never ending poem? It doesn't matter if you heard about it or not because we, poetbayers are going to create our very own never ending poem! How? You might wonder, it's easy. We will start with the current writing challenge, poetic form(modern pantoum) as our gnomon.

By now, we(those of us that have already read one of the pantoum posts of your
Editorial Team. Originally posted 24/01/12) know that a modern pantoum constists of four-line stanzas and that lines 2 & 4 of the first stanza are used as lines 1 & 3 on the second stanza. Usually the paired lines are also rhymed. The last line of a pantoum is often(not always) the same as the first. The lines may be of any length, and the poem can go on for an indefinite number of stanzas.

First potential problem solved. Which problem? Well:) In our never ending poem each one of us will contribute with One line but because of the form of a modern Pantoum. Each will get to write 2 lines(the one that is going to be repeated from the next person(poetbayer) and one unique one, meaning:

First Stanza: One of us: Line 1&2 (are yours) One of us: Line 3(is yours)+ Line 4(it will be nice and melodic if it rhymes with line 2)

Second stanza:
One of us: Line 1 (repeat line 2 of the first stanza) + line (2 is yours)+ One of us: Line 3 (repeat line 4 of the first stanza) and line 4 (is yours)

Third stanza & fourth stanza (the same procedure)and so on = a logical continuation of stanza 1&2 OR you( can mention that it is time to start anew - before the next writing challenge = next poetic form) and we(poetbayers) can together decide if that will be a good idea.

Also! Find a way to make the last line be like the very first one. When? Before midnight of 13/02(in Sweden) Use this link to know when:

Potential problem number two:D Yes they keep popping up but not to worry! I 've got this one covered!:D . . . if we start feeling that we don't want to keep writing logical continuations and just want to master the Art of writing One line that stands for itself and then "step back" and see what happens to the never ending poem and how it inspires the next person. We will then - in order to make it possible, we will then(we=the editors) change the current poetic form of the current challenge to Haiku challenge(but only for the sake of the never ending poem) and see what happens then:)! What do you think? Is it a good idea? Please do let me, us know:)

*Oh, one more thing. As soon as we decide that the never ending poem is a good idea(Your silence counts as yes:D). I will publish a post(Monday) with the title (never ending poem) include the instructions and then on the comment section we can start writing and the next day I will collect them and add them as a text in our next post of the never ending poem every day and we can then continue adding our lines as comments and so on:) This is going to be fun! Don't you think?

Also, in every writing challenge you will get the chance to write a poem(or more) of your own, co write with a poetbayer or the person of your choice & contribute to our never ending poem)

Sounds like fun. I think what the response to the pantoum challenge indicates is not just that we like the challenge of doing something different, but our support of and affection for PoetBay. It will be interesting to see how this evolves.
