The Heart of spring

 

 

 

In the deep silence of winter

 

the calling of one bird was heard

 

Spring arose from its sleep

 

and a warm smile began to melt away the cold

 

revealing its beauty like precious gold

 

The aliveness of flowers and birds are singing

 

in the Heart that spring is bringing

A most heartening write, dear Nils.
Throughout winter my lady and I were fortunate to receive visits from a goodly number of wood pigeons; and we rather like the notion that their gentle melody has roused the warmer season, inspiring the awakening of our garden flowers and further birdsongs in time.
