Heartbreak

Darkened clouds gloomed the horizon of hope,
The twister hath made the haunted haste
Whistling winds whispered the banshee tune
And listless miseries marched out from doom.
The asylum of belief lay ruptured and torn
In seeped insipid drops of faithlessness
Floral flavoured memories were overcast on,
Lucifer of Sorrow seemed to be on the prowl.
Canine howling spoke of the callous curse
Perhaps me the Highwayman who was denied love
Or the knight-at-arms who never got loved;
My epitaph will speak of this unspoken tale
Of swallowed grieves and emotions vain.
