Weaponless

Don't think for a minute that I am wrongly "armed"
because the best armour for our time
is nakedness, openness
to come weaponless.

WHO dares to come weaponless?
- The one who's brave.
Weapon are always a sign of fear and weakness,
not a sign of courage or strength.

To be brave, is it to not be scared?
-No way, only robots are not scared.
The brave dare to see eye to eye.

The brave can be scared, but he doesn't fear
that's a big difference!
Perfect love wipes out all fear.

The one who fears
sees enemies where there are none.
The greatest naivity is to imagine enemies
when there are none.

So....the tough guy for our time
is he who dares to come weaponless.
The great warrior is he
who dares to beat his sword to a ploughshare.

Damn right, man! This is a great poem, not only because I feel that what you are saying is true, but also because how you put your words together. Well done indeed.

i guess it all depends on where youve been dragged through in your life... fears are sometimes justified... but on the whole, i agree, weaponless would be the ideal way... i like the way you present your thoughts... once again, i enjoyed this very much... thanks for sharing :)
