The Letter J

There you are,
In my mind,
And never really that far,
From the person that you found hard to find.

The one that always cared,
The one that was always there,
The one that always shared,
The one that now sheds a tear.

You said you'd always be here,
You said you'd protect me,
You said you'd make things clear,
You said you'd never felt so free

But now all that's in the past,
You gave up to easy,
It must have been all to fast,
And now I feel all to queasy.


Because you've gone and deserted me,
Just as I took the plunge,
And now I am free,
My feelings soaked up like a sponge.

Goodbye my love,
Goodbye my friend,
I now look at you from above,
As my heart will never mend.
